A space to prepare, experiment, take risks and do the work before an audition.
Whether you’re learning new material, brushing up an old cut, preparing for a callback or putting an audition on tape, we’ll work together to get you ready. I’m both your coach and your live accompanist, which means we can stop, start, adjust, experiment, and dig into the material together.
HOW I CAN HELP
AUDITION EXPERIENCE IN THE TWIN CITIES
For nearly a decade, I’ve played auditions and callbacks for theaters and training programs across the Twin Cities, including the Guthrie Theater, Theater Latté Da, Children’s Theatre Company, Lyric Arts, Artistry, DalekoArts, Trademark Theater, the University of Minnesota, and Normandale Community College. I know what it’s like on the other side of the table, what happens in the room, and how quickly performers sometimes have to adjust.
AUDITION AND CALLBACK COACHING
Bring in a new song, an old cut that needs a refresh, or material for an upcoming audition or callback. We’ll work through the music together with live piano accompaniment, making adjustments in real time so you leave feeling prepared and ready to walk into the room.
MUSICAL THEATRE AUDITION TAPES
Put your audition on tape with a live accompanist in the room. We can work the material first, find the tempo and approach that work for you, then record when you’re ready. No prerecorded accompaniment track required.
ACTING SELF-TAPES
For film, television, commerical and straight-play auditions, you’ll have a live reader in the room so you can focus on the scene instead of the logistics. We can work through the material, make adjustments and record as many takes as time allows.
AUDITION ACCOMPANIMENT RECORDINGS
For performers who can’t make it to the studio, I can record custom piano accompaniment for your audition or self-tape. We’ll establish the key, tempo, cuts and any musical details you need, and I’ll send you a track you can use to record wherever you are.
SMALL-GROUP CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS
Small-group classes and workshops will be offered throughout the year with focus on audition skills, musicianship, and the practical work of being a performer. Upcoming classes will be announced here.

IN-STUDIO SESSIONS
Coaching, musical theatre audition tapes and acting self-tapes are all available in 30- or 60- minute sessions.
30 MINUTES - $30
60 MINUTES - $50
30 minutes is great for a brush-up or a quick tape. 60 minutes gives us more time to coach, experiment, and record.
AUDITION ACCOMPANIMENT RECORDINGS
16-BAR CUT (about 30-40 seconds) - $10
32-BAR CUT (about 75-90 seconds) - $15
FULL SONG (under 4 minutes) - $25
FULL SONG (over 4 minutes) - $30
Custom piano tracks are recorded to your specifications and delivered digitally, so you can use them for your audition or self-tape wherever you’re recording.
